Jazz, Latin, and Blues

Sample jazz, latin, and blues compositions

Although trained initially as a classical musician, my focus shifted to jazz when I first heard Miles play live with his beautiful 70s band (including Chick Corea, Jack DeJohnette, and Dave Holland).  I started composing for jazz groups in the early 90s, with my compositions and arrangements influenced by the greats: Wayne Shorter, Billy Strayhorn, Gil Evans, along with Jobim.  I've obviously been particularly drawn to Latin rhythms in my compositions.
